Moira has plenty of suitably sunny music for the season, including a definitive recording of Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez from guitar legend Julian Bream, before a balmy Debussy favourite played by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. There’s also a fantastic suite of music from Gershwin’s opera Porgy & Bess, which features the song ‘Summertime’, arranged for piano and played by Wayne Marshall.
Elsewhere, one of the most exciting young orchestras of today, Chineke!, play Dvořák’s exciting ‘New World’ symphony, and there’s a former Classic FM Hall of Fame champion performed by Itzhak Perlman.
